Mirror Therapy Using VR
The goal is to alleviate “phantom limb” pain while using a VR system. Unlike other treatments and experiments done to date, Inverseting Labs is looking to provide a more inclusive and realistic experience for the user. Our goal is not to create another “mirror therapy” app but to allow the user full control using both legs with autonomies motion for each one.
Phantom Limb Treatment
The primary goal of the clinical study is to demonstrate the usability of the device in improving the quality of recovery and reducing the recovery time. We are looking to create an environment through games which simulate for the player the feeling as he/she has two fully functional legs. As part of the “mirror therapy” process rehabilitation therapists make the amputee move his/her joints starting with the toes, ankle and moving up to the hips. The goal is to stretch the leg and move all joints. These relay on the amputee using his/her complete leg and mirroring it so his/her brain “thinks” his/her amputated leg is moving. We will create this illusion without the mirror but within the animation of the legs Key motions that need to be “seen” by the user should be:

Digital Twin Software Solutions
What is a digital twin and how does it work?
A digital twin is a term that has gained popularity in recent years. Originally, the phrase was coined in 1991. Simply put a digital twin refers to a virtual replica of a physical asset, process, or environment that mirrors its real-world counterpart. The virtual model is designed to accurately reflect the characteristics, practices, and traits of what it does in the real world. Digital twins enable cross-functional and dispersed teams to interact in immersive ways.
What are the benefits of using digital twin technology?
Digital Twins have gained popularity for good reason. They are relatively easy to build, with the right tools, developers, and assets, building environments and 3D models can be done for free in programs like Unity and Blender. This brings the “Power to the People” in a way that’s never been done before. Students can now experience a school that would take them across the globe just to visit in person, but now they can do it right from their own homes in their own time. “Pedagogy” is the methodology of the classroom and its dynamics, and the Digital Twin completely transforms the idea into something more, increasing accessibility in a way that changes the Educational space. Enterprise has also been completely changed, companies now can create Digitial Twins of their own workspaces, showrooms, conference halls, and more. Recently, Kia did a showcase of some of their newest models in the Inverseting Labs platform, creating an event that brought a level of excitement thanks to this technology.
What industries or businesses can benefit from using our digital twin technology?
Architecture and Construction- The architecture and construction industry can utilize virtual digital twins to create and visualize building design concepts in a virtual environment. Architects can explore different design options, simulate lighting conditions and assess structural integrity before physical construction takes place. This helps optimize designs, reducing eros and project efficiency.
Urban Planning- Urban planners can leverage virtual digital twins to simulate urban environments. They can model and analyze factors such as traffic flow, and footfall. This aids in making informed decisions about developments and design.
Healthcare – In the healthcare industry sector, virtual digital twins can be used for medical training, surgical simulations, and patient-specific planning. Surgeons can practice complex procedures in a virtual environment, reducing risks and costs.
Manufacturing and Industrial Processes – Without an IOT connection, manufacturing can benefit from digital twins. These digital models can simulate production lines, machinery, and processes. This can be used to upskill and help improve efficiency.
Education – Educational institutes that have physical locations are creating metaversities to complete their offering. This allows students who may be studying remotely to have an area to meet with others. Similarly to healthcare, digital twins are used for practical training, giving students the added benefit of experiential learning.
